SeanHodgins suprise us once again with a new board he designed based on another smaller board that uses the ATmega chip just as an Arduino. Now, we haev a game board. First, the shield board is based on an older project that is already a kickstarter and it's called an HCC module. In order to save time, he had the idea to create a very small and easy to solder microcontroller baord, and that's how the HCC was developed. The board is low power, it has a very tiny reset button, RX/TX LEDs, small crystal and USB connection so great... Now the board for this post, is based on that HCC moduel. Just sodler the module in the middle and the other buttons, joysticks, LEDs etc and the baord is ready for the code.

To order your boards, use JLCPCB.com and select your color.

Now that the board has the HCC microcontroller solderd, he also placed an OLED screen, some push buttons, switches and a joystick with X and Y directions. The baord also has space for some sliding switches for mode select and to power on and off the baord. On top, the baord has a USB connector so you could plug it to the PC and on the back, it has space for a batter so it could be portable. It has a very nice design, and the shape of an old console controller.

Now, about the game. He developed a very simple game called bubble burst. The game consists in a small bubble that will be eating even smallar bubbles and by that getting bigger. If a bigger bubble will apear, that will be the enemy adn if you eat that, well... game over.

So there you have it. A very good design. Also, he mentioned that this board could very easy play any of the arduboys games that area already created for the arduino boards. Finally, the second code for this board was to make it just like a regular joystick controller for the PC. Interesting right? In this way, you are now able to play PC games using this kind of controller.
A big thanks to SeanHodgins for sharing the files on GitHub. His channel is great and all his videos are good quality. If you want to make your own PCBs, use the services of our sponsor JLCPCB. Links are below.
