Hacktuber YouTube channel presented his work on a Christmass tree PCB with small LEDs taht blink. The circuit is more than basic and the entire project is amde out of 2 vertical boards in a shape of a Christmas tree and one horizontal PCB taht will eb the base. There is a soldered connection ebtween these boards that arrive in the shape of a KIT so you could mount it at home. On the vertical PCBs we can see a lot of LEDs of different colours but also some resistors, a few transistors and capacitors taht will create the blink effect.

As we can see, the base will be glued on top of a battery pack of 4.5V taht will supply the entire circuit

To order your boards, use JLCPCB.com and select your color.

On the horizontal PCb there is also a on/off switch. That will power on the entire circuit that will automatically blink using the transistors, resistors and capacitors. We all know that capacitors need some time to cahrge up. That time is affected by the input resistance. The bigger is the resistance value, more time it will take the capacitor to charge up. The transistors will only switch the charging process on or off and by that a blink effect is created.

To solder all the componets is a job made in around 30 minutes. Use different colours LEDs for a better effect. The LEDs are 5mm diameter and need a current limit resistor as well.

That was an interesting simple project for this Christmas. You will learn how the msot simple blinking circuit is made using BJT transistors, some capacitors and resistors. Also how to make the PCB, solder the compoennts and you will end up with a blinking tree, taht will bea geeky gift for this Christmas 2018. For more, check his channel on Hacktuber .
